The Sacramento County Zoning Code (SZC) establishes land use zones, along with standards and regulations for development in those zones, within unincorporated Sacramento County.

The Purpose of the Zoning Code is codified in SZC § 1.3.

Please note that amended dates in the Code may reflect either the adopted date or effective date prior to 2026. Standard practice moving forward is to notate the effective date.
